Large oil on canvas portrait painting of George Washington, attributed to Gilbert Charles Stuart (American, 1755 - 1828). Artist name and title stated on the plaque, which is mounted on the front of the painting. Painting is dated c. 1803. Housed within a gold gilt molded wood frame. There is a small spot of varnish wear, but is otherwise in very good to excellent condition, commensurate with age.
