A very beautiful framed oil on canvas portrait painting of Jeanne Antoinette Poisson, known in history as Madame de Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV (King of France, 1715 - 1774). Depicting young Madame De Pompadour posing dressed in an elegant silky green dress, detailed with bows and ruffles, and with flowers in her hair. Her silhouette stands out on nice bluish-green background. This large oil painting is mounted within a wood frame. This painting has been restored.
