The 12 - 1/2" blade with two springing pieces to catch an opponent's sword, push button in the form of a squash. Downturned quillons on steel guard with turnings. The urn shaped pommel, plain but of good form. The elaborate shaped brass wire wrapped grip with two brass Turk's heads and lozenge form hand grip. CONDITION: Blade, polished bright over very old pitting. Spring mechanism very strong and works correctly. The quillon showing some exfoliation and considerable age. The urn pommel in good condition with some copper filling indicative of age. The brass wire wrap grip with old hand work patina. All together a most remarkable dagger and a very rare one.
