barrel is 7-1/2" .65 bore flintlockTypical colonial unadorned and unmarked large bore flintlock belt or holster pistol. Features brass front sight blade with heavy brass butt, trigger guard and 2 thimbles. Metal surfaces are rich dark patina. Walnut stock is excellent with some light chipping at butt and toe as well as light chipping near back of side plate. Excellent example of pistol carried in the colonies in the western borders of civilization in New York , Ohio and Pennsylvania. Type widely used during the Revolutionary War era.
