Untouched Civil War period photograph album with a typically period mix of family photographs, commercial photographs, and lithograph CDVs. 44 images total. Several Lincoln subjects including "Liberty Crowning Her Martyr," Washington welcoming Lincoln in heaven, Lincoln and Tad, etc. Colonel Ellsworth portrait, religious, poetic and sentimental views, Tom Thumb's wedding, etc. 20 family portraits including a nice family grouping and a Civil War officer bust view with a New Bern, NC, backmark. Other cards with mixed backmarks. One signed lower front, "Yours truly, W.P. Johnson 306 1/2 Spring St. Milwaukee." CONDITION: Photographs: Very good with good tones and clarity. Album: Fair with spine and rear cover detaching from page block.
