First half of the 18th century. Straight colichemarde blade with traces of engraved designs on both sides. Solid silver hilt with a series of English hallmarks on the front of the clamshell guard, surrounding the blade. Grip is wrapped with twisted silver wire. CONDITION: Blade is polished and shows some wear and scattered areas of pitting. Hilt retains a grey patina and hallmarks are excellent. Grip is tight. This sword has very attractive form.
