German World War II Heer tropical 1941 dated overseas cap in the desirable pink Panzer branch piping. Cap is marked "E. Weissbach, Glauchau", "E41" for the Heer deport at Erfurt, and size marked "57". Cap body is made from an olive green cotton twill with with a dark red cotton twill lining; both have only light storage wear. Machine embroidered BeVo gray eagle is zig-zag machine stitched on, while the BeVo cockdae is machine-sewn straight stitch applied. The Panzer pink soutache is machine-sewn with a straight line stitch, and the ends of the soutache correctly pass through the cap and are sewn down behind the flap. Two zinc ventilation grommets are present with olive paint applied to the exterior. A nice example of an early Panzer cap. CONDITION: Overall excellent plus. WEZ
