German World War II Heer M40 single decal helmet in a shell maker/size that appears to read "NS64" (first letter is obscured) and lot number of "6145" (first number is obscured). Shell exterior retains most of its rough gray-green paint, with freckling, scuffs, and light oxidation. Shell interior retains most of its rough paint with freckling and oxidation at the crown. Decal is intact with a few scuffs to its era-applied lacquer. Liner appears original with moderate wear, staining, and surface cracks around the rim. Stamped "56". Drawstring is present. Liner band with what appears to have undisturbed rivets. An original chinstrap with steel fittings and light wear is present. CONDITION: Good.
