This classic 1939 John Ford epic western brought stardom to John Wayne after almost ten years of struggling for recognition doing B westerns. Also starring Clair Trevor, Andy Devine, John Carradine, Donald Meek and Thomas Mitchell who won the Academy Award for best supporting actor. The original one sheet, although handsomely designed, did not picture Wayne or any other stars. This early re-issue is considered by many to be the best poster on this film as Wayne's caricature is prominently featured riding in a stagecoach, gun wielding, with an injured female in his arms. CONDITION: Very fine. Has light typical shipping fold lines but color is vibrant. Considered by movie critics to be one of the finest Western movies ever produced.
