Lot consists of: (A) Civil War M1840 cavalry saber marked "SOLINGEN" and "S&K" on the ricasso. Standard configuration with gray patina on blade. Hilt with dark patina, intact leather wrap, and tight wire. Complete with iron scabbard with 2 carry rings that features a brown patina. CONDITION: Good. (B) M1860 cavalry saber produced under the smallest government contract for sabers (10,000) by the D. J. Millard Company’s manufacturing center in Clayville, New York. Ricasso is marked "D.J. MILLARD / CLAYVILLE N.Y." and "US / W.E.H. / 1862". Standard configuration with gray patina on blade. Hilt with mellow patina, intact leather wrap, and tight wire. Complete with iron scabbard with 2 carry rings that features a dark patina and dents. CONDITION: Good.
