Lot contains: A) Model 1895 Officer's cap with direct embroidered gilt American eagle on the front and gilt twisted wire chin cords terminating in New York National Guard staff buttons. Leather sweatband, quilted brown polished cotton lining with gold embossed logo: "The Armstrong Uniforms Chicago". CONDITION: Cap shows very minor wear only and is housed in its original pasteboard box which shows moderate wear. B) Model 1902 New York National Guard Adjutant General Corps officer's full dress cap. The front features a gilt bullion direct-embroidered New York state seal, gold tape band with branch of service colors and gold direct-embroidered oak leaves on the patent leather visor. The gold lace chin strap terminates with New York state seal rimless buttons. Leather sweatband, black polished cotton lining with gold embossed logo "Ridabock & Company 112th Fourth Ave 2 Doors Below 12th St New York". Inked on the sweatband is the name "Kirby". CONDITION: Excellent condition showing minor wear only and is housed in its original pasteboard box which shows moderate wear and looses to the lid. From the Ray Bentley collection.
