Lot consists of 3 Ceylon or Malabar style axes. (A) Axe head with pronounced spike and hook opposite to axe head. 3" crescent blade with overall head length of 15". Secured to a wood haft by 2 straps, each of which are secured by 3 screws. 37" overall, haft was shortened. CONDITION: Heavy patina with casting flaws. Haft exhibits bug damage. (B) Axe head with pronounced spike and hook opposite to axe head. 3" crescent blade with overall head length of 14 - 1/4". Secured to a wood haft by 2 straps, each of which are secured by 2 screws. 34" overall, haft was shortened. CONDITION: Heavy patina with casting flaws. Haft with wear including scattered dents. (C) Axe head with pronounced spike and hook opposite to axe head. 3 - 1/2" crescent blade with overall head length of 17". Secured to a wood haft by 2 straps, each of which are pressure fit. 31" overall, haft was shortened. CONDITION: Heavy patina with delamination. Hilt with wear and bug holes.
