Lot contains: A) Circa 1900 U.S. Shipping Board visor cap with bullion leaves directly embroidered onto the cloth covered visor, distinctive bullion/thread cap insignia and U.S. Navy side buttons. Crown lining displays the gold embossed makers name "S.C. Appel & Co 18 Fulton St New York".
CONDITION: Leather sweatband shows minor wear, very good crown lining. Bullion cap insignia shows some wear, cap is in excellent condition. B) World War II period U.S. Public Health Service Captains dress visor cap with gold bullion leaves embroidered directly onto the cloth covered visor, bullion cap insignia and PHS side buttons. CONDITION: Interior is in excellent condition showing no wear, exterior wool is perfect. C) Post World War II Public Health Service Women's dress cap with bullion leaves embroidered on the band and bullion insignia. Interior maker's label "Life Time Hat New York".
