Northwestern Iranian, bronze sword from the Luristan region, circa 1000 to 600 BC. Long and solid bronze sword that appear to be made out of a single metal billet. Convex tapered blade finishes into a diamond shaped recessed area above the ricasso. Hollow tilted ear-shaped pommel on both sides. 36" total length with a 31" blade that is 1 - 1/4" at its widest point. CONDITION: Blade shows fantastic period edge strikes on both cutting edges, most likely from battle. BRM.
