This magazine was published by the Carlisle Indian Press at the United States Indian School at Carlisle Pennsylvania. This magazine was published with Native American interests in mind, not for non-Native Americans. The June, 1912 issue in this lot pictures Jim (James) Thorpe and mentions him going to the Olympic games to compete in six evens. Thorpe won gold in the Pentathlon and Decathlon in Stockholm that year.
