Circa 1940s, M & H Novelty Company, New York, US. Felt figure with a molded, hand painted muslin face; an important toy for a number of reasons: this is one of the earliest offerings from M&H, and pre–dates use of the plastic faces on stuffed dolls they are mainly known for; also, it’s one of the earliest Bug Bunny toys we have ever come across, and unquestionably is the largest version of this piece we have ever seen or of heard of; some scattered stains, mostly to the tip of his right ear, also some slight discoloration to lighter areas; Bugs has instantly become one of our favorites, loaded with presence and personality; a rare and outstanding addition to any Cartoon Character collection.
Condition: (C8 Excellent).
