This is an incredible poster in its original gesso frame which is marked Chas. A Pillsbury & Co. The frame retains its original gold paint and is in great condition with very light wear. the center of the poster shows an eagle perched on top of a barrel of Pillsbury flour or grain. There is also an image of New York harbor and the Liverpool docks which show the product being transported. The poster has some minor soiling and one small stain in the bottom left corner. This is a remarkable piece that was most likely hung in an upscale general store in the late 1880's.
