32-5/8" barrel in caliber .45-70. Standard military issue U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor rifle. All metal surfaces are a pleasing soft blue-brown patina. Has 1879 rear sight. Original stock is very good with no cracks. Cartouche visible but not readable. Usual abrasions. Very good bore with some black powder erosion. Fine action.
