30” barrel in .36 bore-percussion. This rifle was manufactured in Philadelphia, Pa. by famed gunsmith Andrew Wurfflein. Wurfflein has signed both the barrel and the lock. It is a highly ornate silver mounted half stock sporting rifle. Features full octagon barrel with sporting rear sight with silver line, German nickel blade front sight, extra breech sight dovetail, engraved breech with brass lines. Nickel accents include forend cap, wedge plates, sideplate, trigger guard, buttplate, toe plate, palm plate and patch box. The stock retains all of its piano finish with sharp checkering at wrist and forend. Trigger guard is engraved with a finely checkered spur. The barrel is a mix of brown-grey patina. Stock is near mint. The embellishments, silver insets, against the fiery grain highly finish walnut stocks; makes this one of the most handsome half stock rifles ever made. Replacement rod.
