31" barrel in .36 bore-percussion. This rifle was manufactured by Barry Wood in Painted Post, New York sometime after 1870. It is a over-under percussion double rifle with full octagon barrels. One barrel sports sights while the other does not. Has two hammers; one of top and one on bottom. It has thimbles on both sides for the rods (both missing). It is a half stock. butt stock only until breech. Has a standard steel buttplate with a left side rollover cheek piece and heavy iron plate. Has a single trigger. All iron furniture with the exception of the silver patch box that is engraved “L. Jones”. Has original nipples. Metal is basically brown-grey patina and is maker stamped at breech. Stock is very good with no cracks, but poorly fitted at lower tang. Right sideplate is missing its plug. Both barrels are stamped “B Losey”. Very good overall condition. Very unusual rifle.
