30-1/4" barrels; left rifle barrel .44 bore, right shotgun barrel .12 bore. This side by side combination gun was manufactured by Nelson Lewis in Troy, New York 1843 to 1888. The left is rough, the right barrel is smooth. It is stamped with the makers name on top rib. Has a sporting rear sight with a hooded front. Full rib. Shotgun barrel has Damascus pattern. Barrels are browned with double hammers and case colored breach, hammer, sideplate, patch box, trigger guard and buttplate. Features double triggers and a lollipop long range sight. Half stock checkered at wrist with rollover cheek piece. Has two different style hammers. Frame and side plates retain 90% case colors, as does patch box and trigger guard. Stock is near mint with sharp checkering. Bores are perfect. Interesting early pre-Civil War combination gun.
