.45 ACP with a 5" barrel. Manufactured 1943 to 1945. These pistols were manufactured under the Colt license by the Remington factory and were the most widely produced military .45 semi-automatic pistols during the second World War. The left side of the slide has the Remington Rand Syracuse stamp. Top of slide has "P" proof mark. Right side of frame is stamped "United States Property M 1911 A1 U.S. Army" along with the "R.I.A." inspector stamp and Ordnance wheel at rear right frame. Left side of frame stamped "F.J.A." inspector stamp along with proof "P". Has all standard features with World War II blued barrel and Keyes brown plastic grips. The pistol retains virtually all of its Parkerized grey finish albeit some of the lettering has feathered out during its overhaul. Grips are mint. Bore is excellent. Action is perfect.
