This rifle was manufactured in Windsor Vermont between 1845 and 1848. Total quantity was 10,000. Lot is stamped Robbins Kendall & Lawrence US and is dated 1848. Barrel length is 33 inches. Left side of barrel is stamped W.W. Large and is number 50022. The barrel is a smooth blue brown patina. A front sight dove tail has been installed and a Springfield type adjustable ladder sight has also been installed. Has two brass barrel bands. Has a later replacement walnut stock in near mint condition. Has a strong near mint bore. Excellent rifle.
