36" barrel, .50bore-percussionOffered is a lovely full stock percussion Pennsylvania Rifle that is not signed, it was built using a Gulcher lock that features light engraving with pheasants. It is a percussion system with double set triggers, barrel has a fixed rear sight with a brass dove tailed front sight and the lock and barrel are a smooth dark chocolate patina. Has a striped dark full stock with 3 brass thimbles, brass forend tip, brass wrap around butt plate and trigger guard. There is no patch box but does have a roll over cheek piece. The only decoration is some light engraving on the left side plate and bottom of butt plate. The wood is in beautiful condition retaining nearly all of the original finish and patina with no cracks. Fine mid 19th century percussion long rifle in excellent overall original condition.
