.38 Smith & Wesson Special with a 6-1/2" barrel. Collectors refer to this model as the pre-Model 23 Model of 1950. Only 6,039 of these revolvers were ever manufactured from 1950 to 1966. This particular revolver was manufactured from 1954 to 1955 and still retains the upper sideplate screw. Standard features include blued finish, six shot, double action, case colored wide spur hammer, case colored trigger, adjustable rear sight, high profile patridge front sight and silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Original style grips with black discs inside, the right panel is stamped 152359. Indicates grips are correct replacements from another revolver. As to condition, there is some light muzzle wear on both sides. There is a hint of high edge wear at bottom of yoke and a light drag line. Retains 95-97% original blue. Hammer and trigger retain the majority of the original case colors. Grips are very good with a small chip on right side butt. Action is perfect. Bore is near mint.
