This antique wooden carry storage case was made to house a line gun and supposedly at one time held a Sharps rifle, although we can find no markings as such. The custom antique wooden case has the holding rack with four metal projectiles that measure 12 inches. There is an original spool of line in what appears to be original paper wrapping and string, stamped with the original manufacturer from Boston. There is a cartridge block with three original 50 caliber cases which would have fired the .50 blank cartridge to propel the line. It is in very good weathered condition with all hardware and brass handles. The name Courier 2 is stenciled on top. Features brass corners. If you own a rare Sharps Line-throwing gun, or any other short barreled firearm of its type, this would be a perfect way to display it.

Item Dimensions: 30" L. x 6 - 1/4" T. x 13" W.
