.45-70 caliber with a 26" barrel. This rifle was manufactured in the second year of production in 1887. It has been re-barreled with no manufacturing stamps and has been stamped .45-70 for the cartridge but not in Winchester style. Gun retains 85% of the re-applied blue finish, having been completely re-done at one time. Right side of the frame has some rust freckling. Original walnut stocks are very good with no cracks or chips. Mint bore and perfect action. Sporting sights. Very handsome, should be a good shooter,
