.45 LC caliber with a 5-1/2" barrel. According to the factory letter on January 30th, 1915 in a single gun shipment to A.J. Harwi Hardware Co. in Atchison, Kansas. Presently the gun is chambered for the .38-40 WCF cartridge. The entire gun was master engraved by famed artist D.W. Harris (signed on butt) in the Colt cattle brand motif made famous by Cole Agee. The left recoil shield has the Texas Rangers badge and emblem engraved. Aside from the cylinder flutes and the front grip strap, the gun exhibits 100% engraving coverage. The cylinder, hammer, ejector housing, ejector rod, cylinder release, trigger and frame screws are gold plated. Balance of gun is nickel plated. All factory legends are sharp as new. The revolver has not been fired since work performed and is in as new condition inside and out. Sports a pair of perfectly fitted real stag grips. An absolutely stunning first generation cattle brand engraved Colt executed by one of the master 20th Century engravers.
