20" barrel in .44-40 WCF. Manufactured in 1902. This is a standard Marlin model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine that features a 20" round barrel, full magazine, walnut stock, carbine buttplate, blued finish with dovetail front sight, front ladder carbine rear sight and saddle ring and stud. Model 1894 Marling Saddle Ring Carbines from this era are fairly scarce and this one remains in all original untouched condition. All metal surfaces are a pleasing blue-brown-grey patina with age freckling. All legends are sharp. Walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks, having never been refinished, are proud to metal. Strong rifled bore with usual black powder abrasion. Action is perfect. A lovely untouched scarce carbine in the most popular caliber, the .44-40.
