.36 caliber percussion with a 5" barrel. These revolvers were manufactured during the Civil War from 1859 to 1868. Features 5” octagon barrel, five shot, .36 caliber percussion, single action. This revolver is fully factory engraved with nearly full coverage sans the cylinder, which has the etched design still visible. Has all six original nipples. Index line-up is slightly off. Very good strong bore. Original varnished walnut grips are excellent with high edge varnish loss. Overall metal finish is basically a smooth blue-brown patina. This beautiful factory engraved revolver is housed in a period desk set casing with and original Colt two cavity bullet mold (one round and one conical), an original powder flask with eagle and shield design (dent on one side), and an Eley cap tin. Factory engraved Manhattan revolvers are almost never seen on today’s market.
