This is a rare Quackenbush Model 4 air rifle with a 20-3/4" barrel manufactured from 1882 to 1910. This is listed as the Version 1. Shoots a .21 caliber BB, push barrel, smooth bore, factory nickel finish and walnut stock. This rare model was the only one that features gravity-fed in-line magazine cast on top of the frame. Has the round loading port, the right side exposes the spring and has a little blued steel safety catch on right side. Has a dovetail rear sporting sight and a bead front sight. All matching numbers. Retains approximately 85% original nickel finish overall with wear at bottom lever. Finish loss at left base of frame and age freckling on barrel and frame. Still extremely clean. Walnut stocks are excellent with no cracks, minor chips with the nickel buttplate that has the Swiss-type curved top with 30% nickel.
