Barrel length is 32.7 inches. Caliber is 11.3x51R. This rifle is a conversion to the Vitali magazine with a bolt mounted ejector and a magazine cut-off. This rifle was used by the Dutch army and remained in service through WWII. The receiver bridge is stamped E327, as are all of the parts including bolt and handle. Features numerous inspector and proof stamps. The barrel is stamped 3808 and has the 1876 date with numerous proofs. The standard military sight has numerous proofs. The butt plate is stamped 18 90 3808 which corresponds with the barrel. Right side of stock has the 1876 Imperial proof cartouche. Barrel bands are proofed. All metal surfaces are a gray brown patina with traces of finish along barrel channel that appears nickeled or tinned. Walnut stock is excellent with no cracks or chips and retains the majority of original finish. Comes with the unusual military adjustable rear sight. Has a ram rod, and two sling swivels. The trigger guard and magazine are a dark brown patina. Bore is near mint. Nice example of early Beaumont/Vitali.
