.32 rimfire long with a 6" barrel. Manufactured 1861 to 1874. These revolvers sported the full octagon barrel, six shot, non-fluted cylinder, tip-up, spur trigger with the square butt rosewood grips. This revolver remains in fine condition. The barrel and frame retain approximately 50% of the original factory high polished blued finish blending beautifully with a soft patina. The cylinder has turned a soft patina with strong patent dates. Hammer retains nice soft original case colors. The original varnished grips are excellent retaining the majority of the original finish. It does not appear that this revolver saw any heavy use as most of the finish has simply flaked and the remaining finish is still quite lustrous. Bore is near mint. Action is as tight as new. Bottom of frame and grip straps have silvered out. All edges are as sharp as new. Hinge is perfectly tight and exhibits no wobble. Includes a S & W letter.
