Serial number is 9894, caliber is 45 Long Colt, manufactured in 1883. Colt factory letter indicates that this revolver was shipped to Hartley and Graham of New York City on April 4, 1883, in a shipment of 50 guns. This was shipped as a standard revolver featuring a 7-1/2" barrel, with nickel finish and hard rubber grips. This revolver remains in excellent condition retaining approximately 70% original factory nickel with the balance a blending soft metal finish. The trigger and back of hammer retain generous amounts of the original high polish factory blue finish. The grips remain in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The gun functions as new with tight lockup. The bore is extremely clean. Overall a very fine example of the Colt large-caliber double action revolver.
