Barrel length is 24", Caliber is .22R.F.Manufactured 1906-1917. This standard rifle remains in beautiful condition and features: full round barrel, full magazine, straight grip varnished walnut stocks with composite shot gun butt plate, cased colored frame and lever. The barrel tube and forend cap retain virtually all of the original blue factory finish with light muzzle wear and thinning a bit on cap. The frame retains all of its original brilliant case colors except thinning a bit at base. The bolt retains 95% fire blue, lever shows case colors on side. The walnut stocks are near mint, proud to metal with no cracks or chips with a light added coat of finish. Butt plate is perfect with no chip at toe(common on this model). It is a take down and has the standard sporting front sight, filled rear sight slot with a marble's tang sight. Strong rifled bore with some minor abrasions, perfect action, very handsome high condition 1897 Marlin.
