Caliber is 30-30, Barrel is 26" One of the most handsome and beautifully engraved Marlin rifle ever produced. This exact pattern of engraving can be found in the Marlin catalogs. The left side of the receiver features the moose in an oval with full coverage scroll engraving and border. Top and right side of frame have similar scroll with no panel. You will also find engraving on forend cap, barrel breech, take down ring, bottom of frame, and tang. The 26" full octagon barrel retains virtually all of the factory blue finish with razor sharp edges and strong barrel legend. The full magazine tube contains virtually all of the factory blue finish. The screws retain most of their original fire blue as does the loading gate. The frame case colors have mostly silvered out, as have the lever and hammer with the exception of the recesses. The deluxe checkered pistol grip walnut stocks are near mint with sharp checkering with beautiful fiery grain intact. The black composite shotgun butt plate is mint. Rifle has standard sporting front and rear sights and is a take down model. Fine working order with a strong clean bore. Factory research does not mention engraving. Only Take-down, 30-30, 26", oct. Wood not mentioned.
