Barrel length is 26" and caliber is .30 W.C.F In 1969 Winchester created a set of commemorative rifles and carbines to celebrate one of the most beloved presidents that ever held the office of the President of the United States. He is revered by sportsman due to his creation of the national park system especially Yellow Stone National Park. A great president and an esteemed author of over 25 books. It is likely we will never see another like him in the oval office. The offered firearm is the rifle version that is housed in its original cardboard box with paperwork and the original colorful sleeve which features artwork depicting T.R. with the Rough Riders, a ranch man and big game hunter. The rifle remains in as new unfired condition both inside and out. Special features include a blued full octagon barrel, half magazine, sporting sights, nickel plated frame, forend cap and butt plate with blue accents, saddle ring and a plain pistol grip walnut stock. The left side of the frame is stamped 1901-1909 26th President. The right side of stock has inlayed coin. The sleeve does show the usual wear. This rifle is built on the 1894 action.
