12 bore with a 30" barrel, improved modified choke and 2-3/4" chamber. Manufactured 1940 to 1949. Built based on the Browning A5 patent. The barrel is a special order 30" barrel. Has the alloy frame with etched game scenes on both sides in a high gloss black enamel finish, blued barrel, checkered pistol grip walnut stock with composite butt stock. This shotgun remains in very high condition and is almost never seen as such due to the usual rapid wear on frame. Barrel retains approximately 98% original factory blue. Frame retains nearly all of the original factory finish with just some minor high edge wear. Walnut stocks are excellent with sharp as new checkering, a few minor rubs in finish. Mint bore and action. It does not look like this old lightweight shotgun has seen much use in the field. These A5 derivatives are finally getting some collective interest.
