.22 rimfire with a 24" barrel. This is a pre-war model manufactured from 1922 to 1938. Standard features include 24” full octagon barrel, full magazine, blued finish, takedown, sporting front and rear sight with a Marlin logo plastic buttplate. This is a semi-deluxe model in that the walnut stocks have a pistol grip and also have the Marlin bullseye. The wood has been beautifully refinished, albeit a bit shy to metal. Buttplate fits fine. All metal surfaces are basically a soft grey having been cleaned. Fine working condition. Very good bore. Nice looking gun as is and a wonderful candidate for expert restoration as the metal is smooth and devoid of pits and the legends are sharp. There is a star on the tang which would indicate it went back to the factory for something.
