"Presented to Benjamin B. Lathbury by Company C 183 Regiment PV, June 13th, 1864". Sword has high grade brass mounts. Presentation between top and middle mounts on iron scabbard. Original sharkskin grips. Blade has original luster. Sword was distributed by Minzter & Co. of Philadelphia. Original blade washer. Mustered in December 24th, 1963, promoted from second Lieutenant on February 5th, 1864. Died in Richmond, Virginia of wounds on June 22nd, 1864.
