.22 rimfire short caliber with a 10" barrel. This is a single shot referred to as the "Medium Frame Tip-Up Pocket Rifle". Manufactured from 1862-1870 and fairly scarce in that less than 500 were manufactured. In addition, this scarce .22 caliber features the 10" octagon barrel. Gun is in excellent condition. Retains virtually all of the reapplied blue finish on barrel. Frame is basically a clean gun metal grey. The original varnished stocks are excellent. Brass butt is cut for rifle stock. Sports target front and rear sights. Strong clean bore. Perfect working condition. Extremely handsome and rare tip-up pocket rifle.
