.30-06 caliber with a 24" barrel. This Garand rifle was manufactured at the Springfield Armory between December of 1953 and 1957. Barrel is stamped "SA 1956". The stock has the "DOD" acceptance box on left side. Left side of stock has a unit stamp "No. 10". Wrist has a "P" in a circle. Bore has an ME reading of 1. Perfect action. All metal parts retain 95% of the arsenal blue-black finish with high edge wear. Stocks are excellent. Strong bore. Rifle comes in an original shipping crate from the Anniston Army Depot in Alabama. The shipping date on postage stamp is August 2nd, 1990. Extremely fine M1 Garand obtained directly from the arsenal.
