.30-06 caliber with a 24" barrel. The barrel is a Springfield 1946 September. Receiver was manufactured from December of 1943 to March of 1944. Has the later rear sight and the arsenal green parkerized finish. Walnut stock has the "DOD" box on left side with "P" in circle on wrist, and is in very good condition with quite a few abrasions. Metal surfaces retain approximately 85% of the reapplied finish. Perfect action. Bore is clean but there is no ME reading. Will probably have to be rebarreled.
