.44 caliber with a 8" barrel. Manufactured 1863. All matching numbers including wedge, but number not visible on back strap. Standard military issue with the military inspector stamps, cut for shoulder stock. All original nipples. All metal surfaces are a dark chocolate brown patina. Strong barrel legend. Very good original grips with no visible cartouche. Missing the wedge locking screw. Indexes perfectly. Strong clean bore.
