.30 WCF and .30-30 caliber with 20" and 26" barrels. The first gun is a Winchester model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine manufactured in 1901. This carbine has seen heavy use. All metal surfaces are gun metal grey with freckling. Front sight is replaced with an old dime. No rear sight. Saddle ring and stud are crude replacements. A Texas star has been carved on left side of frame. There is a braised repair at tang. Butt stock is a replacement. Forend is undersized. Very good bore. Action OK. All the screws are burred. Functions. The second gun is Winchester 1894 rifle. Manufactured in 1897. Standard features include 26” full octagon barrel, full magazine, walnut stocks, crescent butt and sporting sights. Gun has a very good bore and perfect action, which would make this a shooter. This rifle would be a great candidate for a full restoration given its antique serial number. As to present condition: barrel has been browned; rear sight replaced; frame is black enamel; tube is replaced; hanger, nose cap, lever, and buttplate re-blued; wood refinished with no cracks; large abrasion on right side of stock, 6” repair on forend.
