.38-40 caliber with a 24" barrel. Manufactured in 1919. This is an extremely scarce configuration of the Model 1892 in that it has the full octagon barrel with the half magazine takedown feature in a large caliber. Has a replaced Marble’s rear sight, blade front sight, tang sight, blued finish, walnut stock and rifle butt. This rifle remains in excellent all original condition. The barrel and magazine retain generous amounts of original blue finish mixed with plum, as does both sides of the frame and bolt. Wood is excellent, all original, proud to metal with no cracks or chips and an added coat of finish. Shiny clean strong bore. Perfect action. Highly desirable scarce 1892.
