Caliber .32-20 with a 28" barrel. Special order features on the Model 1892 are amongst the scarcest of all models. This special order rifle features the 28" barrel which is 4" longer than standard. It also features the special order pistol grip butt stock with Winchester cap and is not checkered. The barrel is full octagon and sports a full magazine, with standard blue finish, walnut stock, Winchester sporting front and rear sights. All metal surfaces are a smooth dark chocolate brown patina. The wood stocks are very good. The forend is proud to the metal, sports the original finish, the right side of forearm has a 2" grain separation with the usual minor abrasions and only the usual impressions. The butt stock is a bit shy to the metal having been freshened at one time. There are two minor slivers at the right wrist and frame and some typical divots and abrasions to stock. All but two of the frame screws are slightly boogered. Fine working order. Bore has visible rifling but shows much wear which is common for rifles in this caliber. Factory Research: shipped 11-29-1901. 28" oct with plain pistol grip.
