.45 LC with a 5-1/2" barrel. Manufactured in 1882. This was Colt's first big bore double action revolver. It is a six shot. This example retains approximately 80% of the reapplied nickel finish. Has a strong top barrel legend. ".45 cal" stamped on trigger guard. All other markings have been polished out when re-nickeled. Excellent grips. Indexes perfectly both single and double action. Strong bore with some black powder residue. Excellent grips. Original lanyard. Comes in a vintage tooled single loop holster with brass studs and embossed horse and rider. 2" of stitching is loose at throat.
