.22 short rimfire caliber with a 24" barrel. Amongst the most sought after of all the Winchester Model 1890 pump action .22 magazine rifles, are those manufactured with the case colored frame, manufactured within the antique serial number range and retain a high percentage of the original factory finish. This rare rifle can be numbered in those ranks. It was manufactured in 1896 with the special order case colored frame, with all other standard features to include: blued 24" full octagon barrel, 2/3 magazine, blued bolt, straight grip varnished walnut stock with rifle butt and grooved forearm. It is also a standard takedown model. This rifle remains in beautiful all original condition. The barrel and tube retain approximately 90-95% of the original factory blued finish with sharp barrel legend. Walnut stocks are excellent, proud to metal, no cracks or major chips and retain the majority of the original factory finish. The buttplate colors have silvered out. Hammer retains the majority of the case colors. Bolt retains most of the original high polish blue. Sides of the frame retain approximately 75-80% original case colors, some brilliant. Bottom of frame has silvered out. Nice clean bore. Perfect action.
