9mm caliber with a 4" barrel. This P-08 Luger was manufactured at the DWM facility in 1912. It is standard in all respects with the blued finish and checkered walnut grips. It exhibits all matching numbers and remains in near mint condition. Lovely straw colors on extractor, trigger and locking bolt. There is typical light wear on high edge of sideplate, muzzle and rails. Otherwise, gun retains fully 95% or better original finish, including grip straps. The front grip strap is stamped "S. KST. MRS. 2.2." and two previous stamps have been factory X'ed out, which would indicate usage by two separate units. The checkered walnut grips are in mint condition, not numbered, show no age or oil staining and appear to be expert replacements, in this writer's opinion. Comes with one steel body wood base magazine with no stamps. Extremely high condition early Luger. Most of these early Lugers were pressed into service during World War I and saw heavy use in the trenches, making these Lugers extremely difficult to find on today's market.
